About the Council
In the business of chemical and specialties manufacturing, the CEO is ultimately the responsible person – the one who must always have the right answer at the right time.
The diversity of problems facing a CEO was the original reason for the founding of the Chemical and Specialties Management Council back in 1965 – at a time when “networking” was still a novel idea. From its inception, the Council was designed to be a relatively small group of non-competing CEO’s of chemical and specialties companies. In formal meetings and in more informal communications, the CEO’s in the Council are free to air problems and issues and to find the solutions that bring the greatest benefit to their companies.
Council Meetings
The Council meets three times a year, twice (in February and May) for Member “hosted” plant tours and a ½ day best practice benchmarking session, and once (September/October) in a resort setting for sessions associated with strategic business planning and challenges .The four-day Fall meeting includes one or more invited speakers.
